Description
Inspired by a dream, this painting was created one layer at a time inside of a hand made, oval oak frame. As each layer of resin was carefully poured, colors were added to create a sunset sky, paint was used to create clouds and add depth, and small flying fish paintings were made to create this one of a kind piece that beautifully lets light through. Both fish feature found bug wings that were imbedded into the resin, giving them the flight they needed to enchant this work. The image pours out onto the delicately detailed frame, enhanced with copper accents and Swarovski crystals, which also appear on the back of the frame.
In the stand, it comes to a height of 9.5 inches. The frame itself is 9 inches in height and 7.75 inches across. The frame and resin are both slightly warped which is caused from the resin setting and slightly shrinking, warping the frame with it.
