Much has happened over the past year in my personal life, and probably in all of yours too. The only thing that hasn't changed is my love for art. In fact, it's grown even larger now that I get to study it more and learn new ideas and techniques everyday.
I know, to some, the idea of going to school for art is a little odd. Why go to school for art? If you have the talent, then why even bother?
I remember sitting with a friend once while I was drawing, and asked her to pass me a ruler. Her response was:
"Why do you need a ruler!? I thought you had talent?"
My Response, you ask?:
"Even talent needs a ruler."
...And that is exactly why going to school for art is wonderful. No matter how great you think you are, or how good people tell you you are, there is always room to "straighten" up your skills.
Having a natural talent for art is like holding a source of wild magic in you. Try as you might to tame it, but you can't do it on your own.
Anyway, now that my tiny rant is over lol, it seems like I'm back

She wanted to glow, but feared it could not be won.
